The Sargent 55-M56AJ Electric Latch Retraction Retrofit Motor Kit comes equipped with a signal switch and J-rails for use with 80 Series Exit Devices, fitting devices between 37-42 inches.

Feature Available: 55- Non-Contact Request to Exit switch

  • Motor driven electric retraction for smooth precise operation.
  • Retrofits standard mechanical rail.
  • M56AJ – for doors 37-42″
  • Retrofit Kits can only be added to 80 Series exit devices manufactured after 2006
    & P series exit device. not available on FM8700 Series exit devices.
  • Amount of rail retraction is automatically controlled by the 56- circuitry; System actively monitors its position and adjusts itself
  • Digital retraction timer (0-20 seconds; factory setting is 5 seconds.
  • Can be used for continuous and intermittent use.
  • Power Requirements: 24VDC regulated/filtered power supply.
  • Current draw: .6A during retraction and .25A maintained in dogged hold position.
  • Requires 1A at 24VDC regulated/filtered power supply.
